Mentoring

One-on-one mentoring is available to guide event managers and committees to develop and grow their events. This more personalised approach is tailored to the needs of the client and event.

Mentoring on a specific issue or topic can be delivered in a one off 90 minute session. Sessions can also be scheduled on an regular basis where committees or event managers require ongoing guidance.

Mentoring sessions can be completed in person or on-line.

Case Study: The Gathering

Jo has been in a mentoring arrangement with The Gathering Celtic Festival in Ipswich for the past three years. Under Jo’s guidance and through the implementation of a three-year strategic plan, The Gathering Celtic Festival in Ipswich has demonstrated continuous improvement. In just two years the event has grown from a pipe band competition in a local park for 1,000 competitors and locals, to a Celtic festival format attracting 7,860 in 2021 with 70% travelling to attend the event from across Queensland.

The Gathering is now Queensland’s largest Celtic festival bringing the wider community together in celebration of Celtic music, culture and performance. The 2022 programme will extend to a two-day format and will include the Queensland Pipe Band Spectacular, Highland dancing, Celtic music, strong man style Highland Games, Highland cattle, a medieval re-enactment, workshops, delicious Celtic fare and so much more!
